Glenview Chamber Photo Founded by executive director Dr. Elana Ashley, Great Imaginings continues to bring drug education and child abuse prevention programs to Chicago public and private schools. Two foundations, the Albert Pick, Jr. Fund and the Polk Bros. Foundation, have continued their support with grants making possible programming for 12 Chicago schools. In November and December of 1991, five weeks of drug education programming were brought to schools in Calumet Park Looking back upon the drug education series presented at Calumet School, assistant principal Sharon McGuire summed up her thoughts: "It was exciting to watch Dr. Ashley in action - her special rapport with the students, coupled with puppetry, role playing and her original rap song - all captured the interest, involvement and enthusiasm of the children in her drug-free message." Chicago and suburban schools interested in receiving information and booking of programs can call (847) 480-8998 or write to Dr. Elana Ashley, Executive Director, Great Imaginings, P.O.
