ContributorsGreat Imaginings, Inc. – a tax-exempt, not-for-profit educational corporation – is looking for your support. We have started Splunkey’s Friendship Club [SFC], a club which seeks to develop an international association of children, families, educators, and interested adults world-wide - people who want to reach across borders and oceans to communicate, understand and develop friendships throughout the globe. We want to encourage individuals, families, communities, and nations to link together to make this world a safe and healthy place in which to live, love, raise children, learn, and grow. We want a world in which people are supporting each other -- encouraging one another in the development of talents and the realization of personal dreams. We want to live in a world which promotes literacy, creativity, communication, cooperation, friendship and peace. The fundamental ideas referred to above are woven into the fabric of Splunkey’s mission statement, into the description of Splunkey’s Friendship Club [SFC] and membership form, and into materials designed for children, families, and educators which appear on Splunkey's web site. SFC is designed for parents [grandparents/guardians] to read to and with young children – helping adults and children to bond with one another through a focus on character education, which in turn is built on a system of values and standards. At the same time, these messages are equally important for our educators to model and encourage, and for adults to incorporate into their professional and personal relationships. Our efforts start within families – parents, grandparents and older siblings helping children to develop pride in themselves and respect for others, and teaching them a set of values for ethical living. We have created an educational web site – http://www.splunkey.org. Splunkey’s international friendship club is starting its efforts to build membership. We want to provide children with the opportunity to become familiar with the site, and become members with their families. Membership in Splunkey’s Friendship Club [SFC] is free to all who are interested – children, families, educators, and other adults. For further information about SFC, click on the Club navigational button on the Home Page of Splunkey's Web Site - www.splunkey.org. Please let us know how we might work together with you individually or with your company to promote the common goals of harmony and global peace. As Supporters of Splunkey’s Friendship Club, your company would be included in our list of supporting organizations. The name of your company would appear with an e-mail, web site address and telephone number. This information would remain on our site for the duration of 2003 or longer. Please let us know of your interest in being a Supporter. One way you could help us is by making the site known through conversation with your company staff, friends, families, and their children, and other interested organizations, as well as through a link to our web site. We would be happy to discuss the creation of a link directly to your web site. Kindly be in touch with Dr. Elana Ashley about the possibility of an organization link through e-mail or phone. Many thanks. Other ways to support SFC include:
Depending on your charitable gift [Great Imaginings has 501(c)(3) status], higher levels of giving provide you with more space on our sponsorship list, allowing you to include the purpose of your organization or other information appropriate for your customers. All employees of your company and their families will have access to Splunkey's Web Site - a site with messages of self-worth, friendship and peace; a site designed for parents and young children to read and discuss together. Young children will find information, games and other materials targeted just for them in a section called Just for Splunkey's Kids. Other children with advanced reading abilities can go on line without the help of adults, and will, hopefully, talk about what they have read and learned with their families and among friends. We hope you have a great time becoming familiar with Splunkey's educational and entertaining web site and look forward to hearing from you in the near future. We welcome you as a member of SFC. Go to Splunkey's Web Site to discover the simple process of becoming an SFC member. What is most important is your kindness in spreading awareness of Splunkey's web site, for which we are deeply grateful. Thanking you in advance for your support. Contributors to
