Conflict Management Programs
Conflict Management Programs seek to replace violent thoughts, feelings,
and actions with positive mental attitudes, skills and strategies, and
corresponding behavior by employing our most powerful weapon - our minds
- to demonstrate our understanding, sensitivity and respect for other
people - their property, their personal needs, values, beliefs and goals.
Targeting that objective, Great Imaginings provides individual presentations
or a series of programs extending over weeks and/or months according to
interest. Throughout the sessions, participants work with the presenter
towards an understanding of needed information and strategies, which are
put into action in the dramatization of conflict situations, and in the
negotiation of disputes requiring resolution and/or mediation.
Conflict Management Programs offered throughout the years include:
- Adult Program: "Understanding Conflict"
- "Conflict Resolution: Feelings & Choices"
[preschool - 2nd grade]
- "Conflict Resolution: Problems, Choices & Solutions"
[1st - 3rd grades; 4th - 6th
grades]
- "I Choose to be a Winner"
[1st - 3rd grades; 4th - 6th
grades]
- "Storytelling and Singing: Friendship and Getting Along"
[preschool (4) - kindergarten]
- 7-Day Workshop Series: Conflict Management
[1st - 3rd grades; 4th - 6th
grades]
- 8-Day Series: Conflict Management/Drug Education
[1st - 3rd grades; 4th - 6th
grades]
