Children's Book Author Dr. Elana Ashley exhibits and signs her  books for students, parents and teachers.

Author Dr. Ashley talks about the importance of reading. Dr. Ashley and students dramatize selections from Splunkey's mystery adventure, followed by the  author and puppet hero Splunkey talking with parents and children about themes in the book. Family teams work together to come up with answers to questions posed by Ashley and Splunkey, while representatives from teams share the results of their teamwork.

Puppet Storybook Character Ellie Elephant sings a song with the audience "I Choose to be a Winner. So Can You!" Dr. Ashley concludes the evening program with her original poem "Celebrate the Excellence Within" as the audience claps along to the rhythm.
